What a difference three days make,
when a thaw arrives over two of them. Both yesterday and today the
temperature reached mid- to high-40s, didn't even drop below freezing
last night. (Feb. 8, 2009)

The path is clear, including its thick coating of ice. I
used lots of rock salt yesterday and did a lot of chopping to loosen it
up.
